Job Description

Mission/Purpose of the Job

As a Field Service Technician you are our brand ambassador and our face towards our customers within the Ireland region. Your main responsibility will be to provide best-in-class field service and support at our customer sites, and represent our pioneering brand. You will carry out repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment: acquisition of assignments, perform leakage testing and troubleshooting at customer site.

Reporting into the Service Manager for Ireland, you will be empowered to make a difference whilst also given the support and opportunity to develop your skills.

Responsibilities include;

• Delivering the best service at customer locations - including all service activities from repairs through to leak testing as well as preventative maintenance

• Proactively build-up customer relationships and identifying business opportunities whilst being on site so we remain “First in mind- First in choice”

• Providing technical support in the form of troubleshooting either by phone, email or on site – keeping the customer informed at all times

• Sharing lessons learnt to enhance personal knowledge, promote knowledge-sharing and to foster teamwork and collaboration amongst colleagues

• Work according to the company's safety guidelines 100% safety 100% of the time

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

What we expect from you:

Essential

• Advanced certificate in a science or engineering related subject

• Experience of CAD software (SolidWorks)

• Willing to travel to customer sites and to our onsite workshop in Wexford

• Able to build strong relationships with customers

• Comfortable in F2F interactions with the customers and service minded

• Able to work autonomously with a solution focused mindset

• Shows initiative, agility and integrity - open and approachable

• Customer orientated and reliable

• A full clean drivers licence

Nice to haves:

Bachelor university degree (Level 7) preferable but not essential

• Some professional experience as service technician ideally in vacuum technology desirable

• Technical expertise, combining mechanical and electrical components

• Technical and application knowledge, ability to constantly learn and develop

• Excellent communication skills to work at all levels within an organization
